The Producer

Creating a warm and inviting space for musicians to explore their creativity is at the heart of what I do. I'm passionate about providing an environment where artists can feel completely at ease expressing themselves without any fear of judgment.

My commitment extends to ensuring that the creative process is accessible and comfortable for everyone involved. I understand the inherent vulnerability artists face when sharing their work; my goal is to support them every step of the way in bringing their visions to life.

I am on a mission to make the nostalgic romantic vision of recording music that lives inside every musician's head a reality. I believe in the importance of holding space for the hurdles of recording and barriers to entry while diving into the joy and excitement of creating something out of nothing!

Each project I take on is treated with the utmost care and respect, with a focus on capturing the unique essence of each artist. Through my partnership with Electric Maple Tree, I'm able to accommodate larger projects/ensembles while still maintaining an intimate and welcoming atmosphere which is so important to me.

In an industry that can sometimes feel impersonal, I strive to keep the spirit of joy and authenticity alive in every session. Let's come together and create something truly special, embracing the unexpected twists and turns along the way.

The Philosophy

But why this guy?!

I am immensely grateful and privileged to have gained a formal education in Music, Production, and Audio Engineering. Having completed a year of Berklee College of Music curriculum at one of their sister schools on Prince Edward Island, along with a 16 month intensive program at Nimbus College of Music, I obtained a Diploma in Music Production and Engineering.

The next phase of my career came with my internship at Electric Maple Tree (EMT) Studios in Mission B.C., where I was fortunate to find a mentor in Rory McDonald. Transitioning from intern to assistant engineer at EMT has been a journey of growth and evolution. Under Rory's guidance, I have gained technical expertise and developed a holistic understanding of studio operations and entrepreneurship.

I have now embarked on a new chapter as an independent engineer and producer while remaining deeply connected to the EMT community, where I frequently assist and engage with fellow musicians and producers. My experience as a band member and solo artist has significantly influenced my approach to collaboration and music-making, enhancing the artistry I bring to projects.
